Carpenter 158® (CarTech® No.158®) is a chrome-nickel alloy steel best suited for parts subject to heavy shock and wear. Carpenter 158 supplied by Rockwell Industries is ideally suited for jobs where an extra core strength is required. Fully treated, Carpenter 158 attains a core strength of approximately 160 ksi (1103 MPa) tensile strength with a yield point of about 135 ksi (931 MPa).
