418 Greek Ascoloy AMS 5616

418 Greek Ascoloy Stainless Bar is a modification of the martensitic stainless steel 12% chrome family. Greek Ascoloy supplied by Rockwell Industries retains corrosion and antioxidants and has usable strength and creep resistance to 1050 degrees F (566 ̊C). 418 Greek Ascoloy from Rockwell Industries is used for jet engine compressor blades and flaps due to resistance to stress corrosion cracking. It is also used for discs in low temperature turbine stages and for turbo disperser components.

Bars in the annealed condition shall not have a hardness greater than 311 HB.

Bars 2” diameter and under shall have an average grain size of ASTM No. 5 or finer.

Stock sizes: 0.375” to 4.000” diameter
