Custom® 465 AMS 5936
Custom® 465 AMS 5936 stainless steel at Rockwell Industries is a double vacuum melted martensitic heat treatable alloy capable of 250,000+ PSI tensile in the H950 condition with a combination of high strength, toughness and corrosion resistance. It has similar corrosion resistance to 304 stainless. The grade was developed and is manufactured by Carpenter Technology.

Melting Method: VIM-VAR
Heat treatment: solution heat treated to 1800 degrees F, held for 60 minutes, then quenched and cooled to -100 degrees F and held for at least 8 hours.
